HESS Hidroelektrarne na Spodnji Savi (Hydroelectric power plant)
We planted trees for HESS along the Sava riverbed. Riverside vegetation plays an extremely important role. Tree roots stabilize the soil and prevent riverbank erosion. They act as a natural filter, trapping pollution particles before they reach the river. They create habitat for animals, regulate water temperature, and provide a more beautiful landscape.
